Lychees are amazing! Yes, they look a little weird after they have been peeled & seeded...like eyeballs or something. But they are soooooo good. Start with a can of lychees. Pour the juice in glass. Lay the fruit in a freezer safe container & freeze them. These will become your garnish. Lychees are much better to handle when frozen!!! And they look better!
Try one of these:

Peach Sangria
4 oz sparkling white wine
1 oz peach schnapps
1 oz vodka
Splash orange juice for color.
Splash white cranberry peach juice.
Diced fruit.

This drink makes one. To make a large batch for sharing, combine 1 bottle of white wine, 1 cup peach schnapps, 1 cup vodka, 1 cup orange juice, 3 cups white cranberry juice. Mix all ingredients, chill. Serve with fresh diced fruit.

Dark & Stormy
2 oz Gosling's® Black Seal Rum
Ginger beer (it’s not beer, trust us)
Serve on the rocks in an ice cold Collins glass. Pour the rum and fill rest of way with the ginger beer.

The geniuses in Bermuda, are our new best friends. Who knew that dark rum, and ginger beer would provide us such pleasure. In fact, we recommend drinking this on the balcony of your abode with friends, and sing "Kum ba yah" after the 3rd round.Bartender2Go™http://www.blogger.com/profile/01157009750979732604noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6074361766850369556.post-13426929446869842542010-02-14T16:21:00.004+00:002010-02-16T03:54:39.707+00:00What Do Presidents Drink? We seem to come up with some of our greatest creations during the month of February. Not sure if it's the love that's in the air, Super Bowl withdrawal or the sweet memories of our past tasty love drinks, but well, we just LOVE the month of February! Incase you forgot to buy roses, try this perfect creation for two. Light a candle and turn, off the lights....
Love is holding on line two!!!

Love Potion #9

3 oz gin

1 oz rosebud tea

1 T. rose syrup

fresh lemon juice

Moet et Chandon Champagne
2 chilled martini glasses

Float rose petal on surface

We know what you are thinking. Where am I going to find Rose syrup??? Fret not. If you planned ahead of time, you can find it on Amazon or at an organic market. Trust us, you want this to make the drink sweeter. If you are adventurous, you can try to make your own, but don't blame us if you burn the sugar!!! To make your own rose syrup, boil water, 3 cups of granulated sugar & rinsed fresh red rose petals or rose hips in water. Pour into a squeezable bottle once the temp cools.

Pour all of the ingredients, EXCEPT the champagne, in a martini shaker filled with ice. Below is a sample of martini's we made for a recent bridal shower this fall. That’s right, never ever ever. We have an easy solution to last year’s drink menu, that fell flat. Spice it up with themed drink names. Change that boring vodka & cranberry to an oh-so-fabulous name to match you event. Getting married, try naming your drink “wedding bells”. Turning 29 for the 3rd time? Name your drink, “3rd Time’s A Charm”. Having a baby? “Bun In The Oven, sounds way sexier than vodka & cranberry.

Here are some fun names some of our clients used in the past, to add a special touch to their event:

Cinderella
Dark Knight
Speedy
The Wedding Cake
Liberty & Equality
Cosmoquila
Jackie-O
The Kennedy
Red, White & Blue
Drunkel
P-Funk
That 70’s Show
Bouncing Baby
Baby Bottle
Your Name HereBartender2Go™http://www.blogger.com/profile/01157009750979732604noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6074361766850369556.post-60014970169601527222009-10-15T14:32:00.002+01:002009-10-15T14:35:09.550+01:00Never Have A Hangover Again...Vitamins Before & After You Drink, The Secret To Keeping The Hangover Away...The Bartender2Go Hangover Cure

Most people would think you should stock up on water before and after you have a “funky good time” out on the town, which is good. However, your body doesn’t live on water alone! When you drink your liver, kidney’s, heart & every other organ is working overtime. Mainly your liver. Your body uses it’s potassium, and other minerals to try to rid it’s self of the toxins you consumed the night before. What’s your best bet??? Vitamins and of course water.

Before your first drink:
Take a super B complex vitamin, and be sure to be hydrated. Also for every two alcoholic drinks, drink water.

After your last drink:
Some people swear by Milk Thistle, which won’t hurt. You need potassium & B vitamins at this point as well, and plenty of water. Also dry toast to coat the stomach works wonders.

In the morning:
Drink warm water with the juice of a lemon to flush out the toxins from the night before. The lemon helps your liver to function and it gets your metabolism going. Although a greasy breakfast may sound good, it’s probably the worst thing you can do. Instead have a healthier breakfast, and be sure to include a banana in some form or fashion!

And remember to always have a sober designated driver...Bartender2Go™http://www.blogger.com/profile/01157009750979732604noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6074361766850369556.post-79278884443659628762009-10-12T15:25:00.007+01:002009-10-12T15:40:56.454+01:00To The Steeple...

This weekend Bartender2Go staff were commissioned to bartend for a repeat client at the Annual Morven Steeplechase Race!!! Still daydreaming about your fabulous vacation, beach side, with crystal blue water lapping at the white sand beach, as you lay and sip your piña colada? Ok, maybe that’s just us, but well it’s fall, and what better way to celebrate the changing of the seasons than with a new Bartender2Go drink? Try our new Pear Martini. It won’t restore summer, but it will restore your taste buds and get you ready for hayrides and warm cider! And if you are just not quite ready for summer to completely disappear, try our version of a spiked Arnold Palmer. Lemonade, ice tea and vodka never tasted so good! Don’t forget to schedule your bartender for the holiday season, it’s never to early!

The Bartender2Go Pear Martini

3oz Pear Vodka
2oz Pear Puree
Splash of sweet & sour

In a shaker with ice combine all of the ingredients.
