Fireworks, 4th of July the Ultimate Bowl

What do fireworks, champagne, & bartenders have in common? They all pop! Pop some sparkly of the U.S. variety & celebrate our nations glory, that is food, freedom, and drinks! To get you in the spirit, we came up with a few pleasers & teasers in the lab! Enjoy, and Happy Independence Day America!

Sour Watermelontini-
3oz Vodka
2oz Watermelon Pucker
Splash of Sour Mix

Mix all of the ingredients in an ice filled martini shaker - strain into a chilled martini glass. Bottoms Up!

The Great Watermelon Bowl
1 cup Vodka
4 oz. Triple Sec
4 oz. Watermelon Liqueur
2  750ml bottles of Sparkling Wine or Champagne
2 Cups Watermelon Juice
2 Cups of White Cranberry Juice

Slice a medium sized Watermelon in half, scoop out the center & set it aside. Try to preserve any watermelon juice from the melon for mixing.

In a picture, combine vodka, triple sec, watermelon liqueur, champagne or sparkling wine, watermelon juice, white cranberry juice. Mix well. Fill watermelon with ice, & pour the mixture in the “watermelon bowl”. Add slices/chunks of watermelon for garnish.  To keep the bowl from sliding, before filling it, flatten it a little by cutting a small slice of it on the bottom. Be careful not to put a hole in it!

There's Strange Fruit In My Martini

Lychees are amazing! Yes, they look a little weird after they have been peeled & seeded...like eyeballs or something. But they are soooooo good. Start with a can of lychees. Pour the juice in glass. Lay the fruit in a freezer safe container & freeze them. These will become your garnish. Lychees are much better to handle when frozen!!! And they look better!

Lychee-tini
3 oz Vodka
1 oz. Elderflower liquere
2 oz. of chilled lychee juice
Frozen lychees for garnish

Shake first three ingredients in an ice filled martini shaker. Pour ingredients in a chilled martini glass. Drop one frozen lychee in the glass as a garnish. Cheers!

Love Is In The Drink....

The month of February always brings out the best in us, thanks to Hallmark....and of course Bartender2Go, is no exception! We seem to come up with some of our greatest creations during the month of February. Not sure if it's the love that's in the air, Super Bowl withdrawal or the sweet memories of our past tasty love drinks, but well, we just LOVE the month of February! Incase you forgot to buy roses, try this perfect creation for two. Light a candle and turn, off the lights....
Love is holding on line two!!!

Love Potion #9

3 oz gin
1 oz rosebud tea
1 T. rose syrup
fresh lemon juice
Moet et Chandon Champagne
2 chilled martini glasses
Float rose petal on surface

We know what you are thinking. Where am I going to find Rose syrup??? Fret not. If you planned ahead of time, you can find it on Amazon or at an organic market. Trust us, you want this to make the drink sweeter. If you are adventurous, you can try to make your own, but don't blame us if you burn the sugar!!! To make your own rose syrup, boil water, 3 cups of granulated sugar & rinsed fresh red rose petals or rose hips in water. Pour into a squeezable bottle once the temp cools.

Pour all of the ingredients, EXCEPT the champagne, in a martini shaker filled with ice. Pour into chilled martini glass, leaving room at the top for the champagne. Top with champagne, and garnish with red rose petal.

Cheers to love...

Mastering the Martini Party

Martini's are the new sexy. Below is a sample of martini's we made for a recent bridal shower this fall. In addition to providing the class instruction, glassware & package, we came up with a handy dandy post-card (front & back) that displayed the lovely betrothed couple on the front, and a list of drinks we would make that day on the back. Drink-up and enjoy!
